Award Categories
We are proud to present seven award categories that honour the best professionals, educators, students, volunteers, teams and organisations that have contributed to the advancement and growth of the WA Cyber Security industry.
1. Outstanding WA Cyber Security Professional of the Year
This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated professionalism, passion and a commitment to the WA Cyber Security industry as well as excellence in improving the security posture of an individual or multiple organisations by providing durable security and risk solution(s), providing mentorship and leading a team, services, program or project in the industry. Open to paid employees or consultants currently working in the WA Cyber Security industry.

This award recognises an individual Educator associated with a WA Tertiary Education Institute (TAFE or University) and/or Senior School (high school, community college etc) who is currently engaged formally to deliver cyber security education and build our incoming workforce. Whether it is a current Tertiary lecturer of a particular cyber related topic/unit who is impactful in their delivery or a high school teacher who facilitates the certificate program(s) that include cyber certificates enabling a pathway to further studies and qualifications. If you are inspired by a particular 'teacher', nominate and acknowledge their contribution to our industry.

This award recognises an outstanding Cyber Security Student who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to learning and a passion for Cyber Security as well as motivation to collaborate with others for the benefit of the industry. Open to students currently enrolled either full-time or part-time in Cyber Security studies at a WA Tertiary Education Institute (TAFE or University).

This award recognises the exceptional contribution and commitment of an individual volunteer to the WA Cyber Security industry. It recognises the extraordinary effort and advocacy in championing our sector and Cyber Security awareness and education in the WA community - being a champion of the ‘stay cyber safe’ message throughout our State. Open to current volunteers working in the WA Cyber Security industry.

This award recognises an individual in the WA Cyber Security industry whose enthusiasm for ‘the cause’ is infectious. They make a significant contribution and it is obvious to colleagues/peers/teachers/lecturers /association representatives/clients (one or many of these) that they have a very promising career ahead of them.

This award recognises a team (more than two people) working within the WA Cyber Security industry that has demonstrated outstanding performance and outcomes due to the team effort, innovative ideas or initiatives that have improved outcomes, reduced the corporate risk profile etc. This team works in an environment that encourages workplace diversity, a positive workplace culture and collaboration with other groups/sections within the same organisation as well as with other organisations in and out of the Cyber Security industry. This team has built a ‘group’ resilience to be able to operate effectively under challenging circumstances. Open to teams (paid or voluntary) currently working in the WA Cyber Security industry.

This award recognises an organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the WA Cyber Security industry, using innovation, collaboration, leveraging its people’s skill-sets, collaboration and best practice to enhance the effective delivery of Cyber Security to Enterprise. Organisations must submit documented evidence of the strategies deployed and the outcomes, as well as a short video (up to three minutes) presentation. Open to organisations providing Cyber Security services to enterprises in the Government and/or Private sectors.
